Blue Ridge Football Week 3: Ridgeview 42, Knights 20

FARMER CITY, Ill. -- Thanks to two big plays from senior tailback James Risler, Blue Ridge went to halftime trailing Ridgeview 20-12 at halftime.

In the first half, Risler returned a kick 80 yards for a touchdown. He also received a 50-yard touchdown pass from junior quarterback Johnny Bruden.

Senior tailback Trenor Hildreth added a 42-yard run for a touchdown in the fourth quarter. However, it was not enough as Ridgeview scored 22 second-half points to leave Farmer City with a victory.

"The team made some mental mistakes in the second half that cost them the game after playing a great first half," Blue Ridge coach Kent Miller said to the News-Gazette.
The Knights (0-3, 0-2 Heart of Illinois Conference) will have another chance at their first win next Friday, when they travel to Gibson City to take on the Falcons.
