FARMER CITY, Ill. -- Johnny Bruden kept Blue Ridge in contention with Tri-Valley going into halftime.
The 5-8, 160-pound junior QB/S returned a Vikings fumble for a touchdown in the first quarter and threw a 30-yard TD pass to Kenny Dunn in the second quarter. As a result, the Knights went into the locker room at the half trailing 17-14.
However, Blue Ridge ran into too big a roach -- Tri-Valley's Jimmy Roach, that is.
Roach ran for 112 yards and four touchdowns. He also threw a TD pass en route to leading the Vikings to a 41-22 victory over the Knights.

The junior varsity team, meanwhile, will play at home against Tri-Valley on Monday.
